Label variation: PR suffix on label matrix with 2 pressing ring indentations: one approx 1" in diameter and the other approx 2 3/4". Heavy gatefold cover. With insert that includes a short bio and a breakdown of each track as told to Jerry Wexler. Some copies of this pressing were used for promo, with an added "Promotional DJ Copy" sticker on the front cover with suggested cuts for airplay listed. "Thanks to Peter Wolf of the J. Geils Band for the suggestion to cut Iko Iko." Fifth album by New Orleans R&B artist Dr. John, a tribute to the music of his native city. The album is a collection of covers of New Orleans classics, played by a major figure in the city's music. Title listed as "Gumbo" on both spine and labels.
